This installation is composed of Jewish prayers, transformed into tape loops. Eight loops, driven by eight Walkmans, creating an evolving sonic landscape. Inspired by Steve Reich's phasing technique, each loop shifts and slips out of sync, allowing melodies to emerge from repetition. This installation explores the intersection of tradition and sound—imperfect, intimate, and ever-changing. The lo-fi quality of the tape reveals warmth, nostalgia, and the beauty within the imperfections. Here, the act of listening becomes an immersive experience. The prayers repeat, shift, and unfold—inviting you to engage with Jewish musicality in a new and dynamic way.
